Today’s Good News
After a rash of burglaries in the Piney Knolls neighborhood, Second Precinct created a special bicycle unit with Sgt. Michael Bender and Officers Lindsay Wallace, Gregory Boyles and Timothy Wade. While on patrol, they spotted a truant juvenile carrying a pillowcase of items. With the help of Detective Pedro Riddle, they arrested and charged the juvenile with burglary, grand larceny and identity fraud. There haven’t been any burglaries in the area since.
