Today’s Good News
A man recently emailed the Department that he was glad to see Third Precinct Bike Officer Stacy Rogers patrolling Belle Isle. “Since Stacy has been patrolling, there has been a reduction in the folks drinking and general bad element,” the man wrote. “It was good to have a police presence, but I benefited from Officer Rogers making an effort to know people. He found a bike wheel, my bike wheel that I left when I was in a hurry. He went to the effort to call bike shops around town leaving word that he had found the wheel. That is how the news reached me. Officer Rogers went above and beyond. He deserves recognition for a good job.”
