Today’s Good News
Note to criminals: It’s
going to take more than a wardrobe change to fool our officers. Case in point: First Precinct Officer Reynaldo Perez
was recently on patrol on Coalter
Street when he noticed a man breaking into a home.
As he got out of his vehicle and began to approach, the man took off running
and tried to hide inside another house. With the assistance of Officer Russell Pearce, the multiple
men inside the home came out and Officer Perez immediately recognized the
burglar despite the fact that he had switched clothes with another man. Officer
Perez arrested the man and charged him with attempted burglary and possession
of burglary tools. Good work!
