Today’s Good News
Fourth Precinct officers recently investigated an in-progress burglary that
quickly turned dangerous, but the officers’ instinct and good training kicked
in to keep everyone safe. At approximately 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to
a burglary call and heard people inside the residence. After they announced
their presence, the burglars ran out of the home and one of them knocked over
and assaulted an officer on the ground.
Responding officers quickly
set up a perimeter and used a K-9 team
to locate a hiding suspect and made a safe arrest. Good work K-9 Officer Rob Gregory, K-9 Bullit, Sgt.
Shane Waite and Officers Marc Troy, Naitraj David, Arnold Bohanan Jr., George Banks, Aaron Henning,
Robert Knight, Anthony McRae, Nicholas Stirrett, Willie O’Neil, and Virgil
Burton!
