RICHMOND POLICE DEPARTMENT
DAILY CRIME REPORT
Sept. 10 – 11, 2012
Today’s Good News
Kudos
to Officer Teru Hayashi who was
named Second Precinct’s Officer of the
Month for August! Officer Hayashi takes merchant checks seriously and recently found
that the partnerships built and the information gathered during these visits
can come together in the community. Two restaurant owners in the Castlewood
Shops on Jeff Davis complained to Officer Hayashi about a teenager loitering on
the parking lot at night and aggressively demanding money and food from their
customers. This teen had also been seen with a BB gun that he prominently wore
in his waistband. After connecting the teen to a nearby shooting, he was able
to ban the teen and his mother from the shopping center. Thanks to Officer
Hayashi, the restaurant owners and their customers have not seen the teen
since. Good work Officer Hayashi!
