Today’s Good News
The
Richmond Police Department recently enjoyed a visit
from a retired policeman from France and his friend who enjoyed their
experience so much that they wrote to the Times-Dispatch about it: “It is a visit every citizen
protected by this outstanding group of men and women should make. It is all too
easy to take their service, their protection for granted. We have learned to
thank our men and women in military uniform, but how easy it is to take for
granted that same service on the home front,” they wrote. “I ask the citizens
of Richmond and all areas this: The next time you see a police officer, thank
him or her. The police risk all each and every day for us. Even those thanks
can never repay the debt we owe them.”
