Today’s Good News
Kudos to Officer Deane Waite who was named First Precinct’s Officer of the Month
for May! Officer Waite, a veteran
blood donor, rallied the troops to participate in a blood drive hosted by the
107th Recruit Class – getting nine out of 11 in the platoon to
donate blood. He also worked with Community Care to bring a Neighborhood Watch
program to the Bramblewood Apartments and worked to keep kids in school,
coordinating with truancy officers to conduct sweeps in his sector. Officer
Waite often takes the initiative to conduct warrant sweeps and traffic
enforcement initiatives and it’s his proactive community policing approach that
makes him an excellent choice as First Precinct’s Officer of the Month for May.
