Today’s Good News

Kudos to Officer Joseph Ronan who was named Third Precinct’s Officer of the Month for March! From volunteering on his time off to training a new officer, Officer Ronan has done a lot to help his fellow officers and reduce crime in the city. During one burglary assignment for which he volunteered to work on his day off, Officer Ronan and Officer Jacob DeBoard caught a suspect in the act trying to break into a home along Forest Hill Avenue. The burglar was a suspect in many burglaries in the area and officers have no doubt he committed quite a few. Officer Ronan also worked with the precinct’s Focus Mission Team learning more about serving narcotics search warrants and bringing this new knowledge back to his patrol unit and his trainee. These are just a few examples of why Officer Ronan’s approach to policing makes him Third Precinct’s Officer of the Month!
