Today’s Good News
While working an overtime
shift recently, Second Precinct Officer
Derrick Longoria responded to check on the welfare of an elderly man who
hadn’t been seen by a friend. Officer Longoria took the time to find out that
the elderly man had been transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for
medical reasons and informed the friend. That friend called to compliment
Officer Longoria for his help and stated that Officer Longoria was “very
caring, polite and showed great empathy and professionalism.”
