Kudos
to Assistant Communications Officer
Supervisor Linwood Harris who was named the
Department’s Communications Supervisor
of the Quarter! His title is Communications Supervisor – but we should
consider changing it to Communications Leader. Linwood Harris shows the
leadership-by-example-style that lifts the morale and performance of his entire
unit.
When a colleague's extended absence
for medical issues threatened to disrupt the operations of the team – Harris
stepped up and switched shifts. This switch unfortunately created burdens for
Harris' schedule, family life and sleep cycles – but you would never know from
listening to the supervisor. Instead – his strong performance, great attitude
and focus on teamwork lifted the platoon to many positive accomplishments.
He troubleshoots equipment glitches
and reviews the communications officers' work on an incident-by-incident basis.
On almost any statistic at which we look – we see Linwood Harris' excellent
supervision – but what we really see is his leadership. Thank you and
congratulations ACOS Harris!
