Today’s Good News

K9 Officer Robert Gregory and K9 Bullit recently responded to the Laburnum and Hawthorne avenues area to assist Henrico Police with finding a robbery suspect. As the pair entered the backyard of a house, the suspect jumped up and ran. Despite several warnings, the suspect refused to stop and was quickly apprehended by K9 Bullit. Good job!

Today’s Good News

Second Precinct Officer William Kingery recently responded to a burglary on Hull Street. Thanks to Officer Kingery’s good knowledge of the people in his sector and solid surveillance video, he quickly identified the burglar. After further investigation, officers found and arrested the man a short time later, charging him with breaking and entering. Good work!

First Precinct Officers Shawn McNeil and Chad Collins were recently patrolling on North 22^nd Street when a citizen flagged them down and pointed out a man who appeared to be breaking into a residence. As the officers investigated, the suspicious man ran away. With the help of Officer Kevin Hyde, the officers caught the man. Upon further investigation, officers found a handgun near the residence and charged the man with burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Fourth Precinct Officers recently received a call for two suspicious males running in the 500 block of North Henry Street and carrying electronic items. Officers Mike Musselwhite and Justin Bauwens spotted one suspect nearby carrying a TV and stopped him to investigate further. With the assistance of Officer Paul Gaines and Detective Margaret Cunningham, the officers determined the man had stolen the items from a nearby apartment on West Clay Street. Good work officers!
