A woman recently wrote to thank Chief Bryan T. Norwood for all that he has done. “I have lived in Richmond for 20 years and have never felt safer then I do now. The police officers I see about the community--especially the bike cop, Officer Charles Kane, in Carytown; Officer Jay Riley at Mary Munford; and Lt. Tim Morley are helpful, kind, fair and good at their jobs,” she wrote. “Anyway, I bet you mostly hear when things go wrong so I wanted to say good job! Things are going right!”

Ferguson was “genuinely concerned about his nighttime predicament and was extremely helpful” in locating his vehicle. A visitor to Richmond wanted everyone to know about the “helpfulness and professional service that he received from Fourth Precinct Officer Chelsea Ferguson.” The man had forgotten where he parked his car at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Ferguson was “genuinely concerned about his nighttime predicament and was extremely helpful” in locating his vehicle. Acts like these also helped make Ferguson the Department’s Officer of the Month for December.
