It wasn’t too hard for Third Precinct Officer Travis Thompson to find a man who broke into a vehicle on West Cary Street this past weekend and stole several items. Witnesses saw the man run down an alley. Officer Thompson called for backup and followed the man’s footprints in the snow back to his apartment building. Officers recovered the victim’s belongings and arrested the man for grand larceny. Good work officers!

Earlier this month, a detective briefed several officers about a career thief who was wanted for several thefts from motor vehicles. Fourth Precinct Officers Michael Nyantakyi and Paul Campbell knew the thief and immediately left the meeting to find him. They quickly found and arrested him. These officers’ quick response and knowledge of their sector is exemplary and they should be recognized for their devotion to duty.

Today’s Good News
Fourth Precinct Officers Tanekia Owens-Turner, Donnie Watkins Jr., Kimberly Drake and Todd Evans recently volunteered to help deliver holiday gifts to less fortunate families on the Northside. These officers acted with compassion and the highest degree of professionalism and their service made a positive impression in the community and with each family. Without these officers’ help, the families would not have been able to give their children gifts this holiday season.
