Today’s Good News

Fourth Precinct officers recently responded to an in-progress armed robbery and burglary on West Franklin Street. With the help of the victim, Sgt. Norris Loperl and Lt. Herman Loney and Officers Justin Bauwens, Mark Godwin and William Travers quickly identified and caught the suspects. They also recovered two firearms and the victim's stolen property.

Today’s Good News

Third Precinct Officer Steven Fields recently responded to the 1900 block of West Main Street for a report of vandalism in progress. When he arrived, he found the suspect walking nearby bleeding from his right hand. He stopped the suspect and determined he had just punched out the store front window of a nearby business. The officer arranged medical assistance for the suspect before arresting him for property damage.

Today’s Good News


A man was recently robbed and assaulted by three unknown males on Lakeview Avenue. But thanks to the sharp eyes and quick response of Third Precinct Sgt. Danny Rhodenizer, the suspects were spotted nearby. Sgt. Rhodenizer stopped the car and detained the men until the victim identified them as his attackers. The three men were arrested and charged. Good job Sgt. Rhodenizer!

Today’s Good News


Kudos to Second Precinct Officers Patrick Brady, Larry Boxley, Richard Price and Jeffrey Pistritto who set up a perimeter and remained calm and professional when a burglary-and-assault suspect tried to evade arrest by exiting and entered a home several times. After a short time, the suspect walked out and was arrested without anyone getting hurt.
